Information Report


Our ‘Learning Journey’ is fast approaching and the students of Room 26 have been working hard to produce a range of wonderful self-powered cars and informative light posters to showcase some of our exciting STEM and science we have been learning about this term. As part of our Learning Journey students have been given an at-home task of researching, drafting and creating a good copy of an information report on one type of renewable energy. Students have been able to do a portion of their research and planning at school, however, the majority of it will need to be conducted at home. The task is due on Friday 20th September. Students need to bring in their planning sheets along with a written or typed final copy that will be displayed during the Learning Journey along with many other brilliant things they have been working hard on in class.

What's been happening in Room 26...

Over the last few weeks we have been doing some exciting things in our class. Some of those things include working with our Buddy Class. We recently had a fun afternoon with our little buddies creating code to make our Bee Bots move around. We also teamed up with other groups to get our Bee Bots to dance together. Mr Meachem joined in with our technology afternoon and created a secret code for us to use. We had to enter the code into the Bee Bots then they raced against each other. It was so much fun! As part of the celebrations we took part in a parade to show off our wonderful traditional costumes from around the globe or our orange outfits. Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Week. End of Year Party!!

Room 26 will be having a Christmas Party on Wednesday 18th December. The students can bring their own games and electronic devices to play with after recess (it is their responsibility). We will then have food and party games in the afternoon. Could Year 5 girls please bring a plate of savory and Year 5 boys bring a plate of sweet food to share. Thanks for your support.
